Business Growth– UCANE provides multiple networking opportunities every year, allowing you to make contacts at our many dinner meetings, active committee meetings, and member events and build business relationships that will help expand your business.
Advocacy– Every year proposals and bills are filed at every level of government that can have a critical effect on your business. UCANE monitors these proposals and fights to minimize the impact overly burdensome regulations can have on our industry.
Funding– UCANE lobbies at the state, federal, and local levels on behalf of this region’s critical clean water and drinking water issues and advocates for adequate funding. We continually try to educate Public and Elected Officials on the clean water needs for our State, the New England region, and our Nation.
Education and Training– Reduced member rates for safety and construction related seminars, including the most recent OSHA standards for trench excavation and confined space entry, and a MassDEP approved asbestos cement pipe removal course.
Legal Advice– UCANE membership entitles you to two hours of free legal advice from UCANE’s legal counsel, Hinckley Allen LLP. Hinckley Allen is one of New England’s premier legal firms, concentrating on construction, environmental, and labor law issues.
Complimentary Monthly Publication– Stay abreast of all that is important in the underground utility construction industry with your free monthly subscription to the award winning Construction Outlook magazine.
Safety- UCANE is a “Safety First” Association. Safety manuals are updated annually to include the latest OSHA regulations. Personalized with your company logo, these manuals are available exclusively to our members.
